Yes. You choose the shop — and under California law your insurer cannot require you to use a specific facility either. Tell your adjuster you're bringing the vehicle to Regal Repair and we handle the claim from there.

Usually it's parts, not the repair. Tesla doesn't permit used, recycled, aftermarket or third-party replacement parts, so when something is back-ordered there's no equivalent to source elsewhere — you wait for Tesla.

That constraint is also the reason your car goes back together correctly, so it's a trade worth making. What we won't do is quote you an optimistic date and explain the delay three weeks later. You'll get a realistic estimate up front, and the same day we know if a part moves it.

It will if the cameras aren't recalibrated — which is why we do. Tesla's driver-assistance systems rely on cameras mounted around the car, including in the windshield. Replacing a windshield or disturbing the front fascia means those cameras need recalibrating to Tesla specification.

Skipping it doesn't set a warning light. The systems keep operating, just aimed slightly wrong — which you'd only find out about at the moment you needed them. Every vehicle also gets a pre- and post-repair diagnostic scan, and you get the results.
