The CX-90 and CX-70 are built on Mazda's newer large-vehicle platform, designed around longitudinal engines, including inline-six options, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. Their structure differs from the transverse-engine platform used by the Mazda3, CX-30, CX-5 and CX-50.
