Ford's paint lineup includes several colors that test any refinisher. Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat uses a colored clear layer over a metallic base, so the color depends on how thick the tinted clear is. White pearl tri-coats add a pearl mid-coat that changes brightness with each pass of the spray gun.
For tinted clearcoat and tri-coat colors, we spray let-down panels showing how the color changes with each coat. We compare those to your vehicle and choose the number of coats that matches. That process takes longer than a standard metallic, but it prevents a repaired panel from looking lighter or darker.
An F-150 or Super Duty bed side is a long, flat panel next to the cab. Any mismatch is obvious. We blend into adjacent panels where possible and match the factory texture so reflections look uniform.
Aluminum panels need specific cleaning and primers. Skipping those steps can lead to peeling paint months later.
Mustangs and Broncos often have stripes, graphics or two-tone roofs. We reproduce painted stripes and replace vinyl graphics as needed.
