Toyota Sienna Collision Repair for a Hybrid-Only Minivan

Since its 2021 redesign, every Toyota Sienna has been a hybrid. That makes it different from most minivans on the road: along with power sliding doors and a spacious cabin, it carries a high-voltage battery and electric motors, including a rear motor on all-wheel-drive versions. Collision repairs must account for all of it.

High-Voltage Safety Comes First

Before bodywork begins, we follow Toyota's procedures to disable the hybrid system and confirm it is safe. The battery is protected from heat during paint curing, and we inspect high-voltage cables and components near any damaged area. On AWD models, rear impacts may affect the rear electric drive unit, which we check during teardown.

Sliding Doors and Rear Quarters

Like other minivans, the Sienna's sliding doors run on tracks built partly into the body. Side impacts near the rear wheels can bend the track and quarter panel. We repair or replace the affected structure, then adjust the doors, test the power motors and check anti-pinch sensors so the doors operate safely.

Rear-End Collisions

Rear-end collisions often damage the bumper, power liftgate and back panel, and sometimes the spare tire area and third-row floor. We inspect the full rear structure and test the liftgate, camera and parking sensors after the repair.

Toyota Safety Sense

The Sienna uses a front camera and radar for Toyota Safety Sense features. Windshield, grille or bumper repairs require verification and calibration, which we complete before the van goes home.
