The GLE is a midsize luxury SUV available as a traditional SUV, as a GLE Coupe and in high-performance AMG versions. It is larger and heavier than the GLC, often has an optional third row, and can be equipped with advanced suspension systems. Those details matter when it comes to collision repair.
A heavier vehicle carries more energy into a collision, so even moderate-speed impacts can reach structural components. We measure the GLE's structure against manufacturer specifications and follow Mercedes-Benz procedures for any sectioning, bonding or riveting. Large bumper assemblies with multiple sensors are checked for mounting damage, not just cosmetic cracks.
Some GLE models are equipped with air suspension or the E-Active Body Control system. After a front or side impact, these components need careful inspection. Air suspension vehicles also require specific procedures when they are lifted or placed on a frame bench, which we follow to avoid damaging the system.
AMG versions use unique bumpers, grilles, wheel arch flares and exhaust tips, and the GLE Coupe has its own rear body panels. We source the correct AMG or Coupe-specific parts so the finished repair matches the vehicle's original design.
The GLE's broad hood and tall sides show every flaw. We match color and metallic orientation with test panels and blend across neighboring panels, and we treat specialty finishes, including matte paints, with the procedures they require.
