The CX-50 arrived for the 2023 model year as a more rugged sibling to the CX-5. It is built in Huntsville, Alabama, has a wider, lower stance, standard all-wheel drive, roof rails designed to carry gear, and, in its newer versions, a hybrid option. Owners actually take these vehicles to trailheads and campgrounds, and the damage we repair reflects that.
Off-pavement driving leads to scraped lower cladding, dented rocker panels, damaged skid areas and rock chips across the hood and front bumper. We repair or replace the black body cladding, straighten or replace rockers, and repair chips before they rust. When a wheel or suspension component has taken a hit, we check alignment as part of the job.
Roof-mounted cargo boxes, bikes and kayaks can scratch or dent the roof and rails, especially when loading or when a low garage is involved. Roof repairs require care around the panoramic moonroof, headliner and roof rail mounting points so that everything seals properly afterward.
For CX-50 Hybrid models, we follow the manufacturer's procedures for disabling the high-voltage system and protecting the battery during repairs and paint curing.
As a Mazda-certified collision center, Regal Repair has access to Mazda repair information and trains to Mazda standards. We match Mazda's paint colors with spray-out cards, and verify the i-Activsense camera and radar systems after repairs.
