The CX-5 has been one of Mazda's best-selling models in the U.S. for years, which means we see a lot of them, across several generations. That experience helps: we know how the CX-5's front structure, power liftgate and rear quarter panels are built, and which parts are commonly damaged in the collisions Los Angeles traffic produces.
Rear-end impacts are the most frequent CX-5 damage we repair. Beyond the bumper cover, they often affect the rear bumper reinforcement, the back panel and the liftgate itself. On models with a power liftgate, we check the struts, motor and pinch sensors after the repair so the gate opens and closes correctly. Tail lamps and parking sensors are replaced with the correct parts and tested.
Front impacts can damage the radiator support, condenser and the radar sensor behind the Mazda emblem. Because the CX-5 relies on that radar and a windshield camera for i-Activsense functions like Smart Brake Support and adaptive cruise, we scan the vehicle before and after repairs and perform the calibrations Mazda specifies.
Regal Repair is a Mazda-certified collision center. That means access to Mazda repair procedures, training on Mazda-specific welding and sectioning, and a commitment to use the parts the manufacturer calls for. For paint, we match Mazda's multi-layer colors, including Soul Red Crystal, using spray-out cards before refinishing.
