The CX-30 sits between the Mazda3 and CX-5 and shares much of its engineering with the Mazda3. What sets it apart visually is the wide band of black cladding that wraps the lower body and wheel arches. That cladding protects the paint from curbs and shopping carts, but it also cracks, scuffs and tears in low-speed impacts, and it is one of the most common repairs we see on this model.
The CX-30's lower cladding is textured plastic that cannot simply be painted to hide damage. Depending on the tear, we either repair and texture it or replace it with the correct Mazda part, then check the clips and mounting points underneath. Wheel-arch impacts can also bend the inner fender liner and, in harder hits, push the wheel out of alignment, so we check steering and suspension as part of the estimate.
Above the cladding, the CX-30 has deep, curved door surfaces that reflect light like a mirror. Paintless dent removal works well for small dents that have not broken the paint. For larger damage, we repair the metal and refinish with Mazda's paint formulas, blending into the adjacent panels. As a Mazda-certified collision center, we follow Mazda's repair procedures for welding, sectioning and corrosion protection.
Many CX-30 trims include blind spot monitoring with rear radar units behind the bumper corners, plus front radar and a windshield camera for i-Activsense features. We confirm these systems work after any bumper, mirror or windshield repair.
