The Mazda3 is a compact car that punches above its class, with a premium interior, available all-wheel drive and, on some trims, a turbocharged 2.5-liter engine. It is also one of the most sculpted small cars on the road. Its long hood, smooth door surfaces and, on the hatchback, a thick sweeping C-pillar make even small dents easy to see. Regal Repair is a Mazda-certified collision center, so we repair the Mazda3 using Mazda's own procedures and parts requirements.
On the sedan, rear impacts usually involve the trunk lid, rear bumper and the lower back panel. On the hatchback, the liftgate and the large one-piece rear quarter are the concern. The hatchback's quarter panel runs from the rear door opening to the tail lamp in a single sweep, so damage there often means sectioning or replacing a structural panel rather than a simple bolt-on repair. We explain which applies to your car before any work starts.
Mazda's signature colors, including Soul Red Crystal and Machine Gray, are multi-layer finishes that change appearance with viewing angle. We use Mazda color codes, create spray-out cards and blend into neighboring panels so a repaired door does not look different from the fender next to it. Stone chips on the long hood are common after freeway driving, and we recommend fixing them early.
Depending on trim, the Mazda3 uses radar in the front emblem area and a windshield camera for Mazda's i-Activsense features, such as Smart Brake Support and Mazda Radar Cruise Control. Bumper or windshield work can affect these systems, so we scan before and after the repair and complete any calibrations Mazda requires.
