The Lexus NX is a compact luxury crossover that shares its platform with the Toyota RAV4 but wraps it in sharper styling and a more upscale cabin. The current lineup includes turbocharged gas models, the NX 350h hybrid and the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, so many of the NX vehicles we repair have high-voltage systems.
Before we repair an NX hybrid or plug-in hybrid, we follow the manufacturer's procedures for disabling the high-voltage system. We protect the battery during paint curing and inspect high-voltage cabling routed near damaged areas. Plug-in models also have a charging port that can be damaged in side or rear impacts.
The NX uses electronic door releases, known as E-Latch, instead of traditional mechanical handles. After door or pillar repairs, we check that the latch system, its sensors and its backup mechanical release work correctly.
The NX's signature grille houses or sits near front radar and camera equipment for Lexus Safety System+. Front-end repairs include inspecting sensor brackets and completing calibrations as required.
Lexus paint is known for its deep, smooth finish, and color variants can differ between production batches. We confirm the right variant with test cards before refinishing and blend into adjacent panels.
