The Lexus LX is the brand's flagship full-size SUV. Unlike most Lexus models, it is built body-on-frame, sharing its tough underpinnings with Toyota's global Land Cruiser. The current LX 600 pairs that off-road-capable chassis with a twin-turbo V6, a large spindle grille and a cabin full of luxury technology. Repairing it well means understanding both sides of that personality.
On a body-on-frame vehicle, the body sits on a separate ladder frame. After a significant collision, we measure both the frame and the body mounting points, because damage can be hidden in either. Frame straightening or component replacement follows manufacturer procedures, and body mounts are inspected for tears or distortion.
The LX's size means large hood, door and roof surfaces, and some of its outer panels use aluminum to save weight. Aluminum repairs are done with dedicated tools to avoid contamination. Lexus colors are known for depth and clarity, and on a panel this large, careful color matching and blending are essential.
Some LX owners use the SUV's capability on trails and desert roads. Rock rails, skid plates, lower bumpers and underbody components can be damaged off pavement; we inspect and repair these along with the visible bodywork.
The LX uses a multi-camera surround-view system, front radar and sensors for Lexus Safety System+ features. Bumper, mirror and grille repairs can affect these systems, so we scan the vehicle and complete the required calibrations.
