The Tucson is Hyundai's compact SUV and one of its most popular models. The current generation stands out with its Parametric Hidden Lights, daytime running lamps built into the grille that disappear when off. That design is striking, but it also means a front-end impact that damages the grille can involve lighting components too.
Because the Tucson's daytime lights sit inside the grille pattern, grille replacement is more involved than on most SUVs. We replace the grille and lighting components with correct Hyundai parts, check the radar sensor mounted in the front, and inspect the cooling system and bumper reinforcement for hidden damage.
The Tucson's sides feature angular, faceted surfaces that catch light at different angles. Dents and color mismatches are easy to spot, so we use spray-out test cards and blend carefully into adjacent panels.
For Tucson Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid models, we follow Hyundai's high-voltage procedures and protect the battery from paint-curing heat. Plug-in models also have a charge port that we inspect after side impacts.
